There’s no reason to be afraid.

There’s no reason to be afraid of anyone or anything.

Fear is an interesting thing.

It is always there. It always with us. It is always speaking. But at the end of the day, what is fear?

Fear is a great story teller.

It loves to tell us things that aren’t true and shows us things that aren’t so.

It will take something small and turn into something much bigger, much more frightful, and much more intimidating than it is.

It will elaborate. It will embellish. It will turn a molehill into a mountain. A shadow into a demon. A man into a giant.

But the truth is there is nothing to fear. Not really.

The world is not as frightful as you suppose. Yes, there is darkness. Yes, there is evil. And yes, sometimes, there are monsters.

But there is no darkness that cannot be overcome with light. There is no evil that cannot be overcome with good. And there are no monsters that cannot be defeated with the strength and the will of a warrior.

So as we venture out and move towards building something better for ourselves, for the world, and for the people around us, let us not believe the stories that fear tell us.

At the end of the day, people are nothing more than flesh and blood. Devils are nothing more than small creatures who hide in shadows. And fear is nothing more than an elaborate storyteller purposed to delay our movements and advances.

There is no reason to fear children. There is no reason to lose hope.

There is no reason to be afraid.
