WHEN DEATH COMES
Are we looking to be perfectly intact at the end of our days without a mark or scratch to show?
When we wake up and walk out our doors, are we trying to preserve ourselves until old age?
When death comes knocking at our door and comes to take us away, will even death be embarrassed to take us?
Will death stare at our unharmed body, our flesh clean of scars and say,
“You died long before I came. You have done nothing. You have left nothing behind. And now all that is on the inside of you, all the love, all the wonder, all the gifts, will now leave this world without being put into practice. What a shame,” death will say,
“What a waste.”
Don’t go to waste. Don’t avoid stepping out into the unknown and upon the battlefield. Give out all that you have. All that you are. Live a life that changes the lives of others.
So when death comes knocking at your door, you will be able to say with pride,
“I have nothing left. I have given it my everything and everything I have has been given away. I am ready to go.”
